Board of Directors Elections

To be elected to the Jaycees Board of Directors, the first step is getting involved with Jaycees activities and events. Attend mixers, luncheons and volunteer days, join a committee, help plan an event, participate in the Wurstfest and Fair booths, and volunteer at an event. It's important to demonstrate your commitment to the organization and your desire to help our initiatives succeed. 

Here's a quick breakdown of how the election process works according to the organizational bylaws:

  • August – The Nominating Committee is appointed by the Jaycees President. The Committee is made up of three current Board members and two general members. 
  • September – An email is distributed to the full membership seeking nominations.  
  • October – The Nominating Committee meets to review all applicants and make their selection. Their recommendations are presented and voted on at the monthly Board of Directors meeting. 
  • November – The full membership will be notified via email of the election results. 
  • December – The Nominating Committee presents recommendations for Board Officer positions to be voted on during the regular Board of Directors meeting. Positions are President, Vice President, Membership Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
