The New Braunfels Jaycees and the Humane Society of the New Braunfels Area are teaming up to host the 2nd Annual Big Bets For Homeless Pets fundraiser on Saturday, July 15 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the McKenna Event Center. This Vegas Style Casino Night will include Slot Machines, Blackjack, Texas Hold'em, Craps, Roulette and more, plus an open bar, food, raffles and tons of prizes.

At the end of the night, exchange your chips for raffle tickets for your chance to win some great door prizes. We will have thousands of dollars in prizes to give away!

And best of all, this event supports two amazing local non-profit groups. The goal of this event is to raise funds to support the overwhelming population of homeless and at-risk animals in our community and to help bolster the philanthropic and volunteering efforts of the Jaycees.

Early bird ticket price is $50 if purchased on or before June 15th. Regular ticket price is $65 purchased after June 15th.

Tickets include $1,000 in play money, complimentary hors d'oeuvres and an open bar.

Who are the Jaycees?

The New Braunfels Jaycees (Junior Chamber) is New Braunfels’ young professionals organization. We are made up of aspiring leaders between the ages of 18-40 who are looking to grow their network, become engaged in the community, progress their professional development, and work towards creating a better New Braunfels through volunteering and philanthropic efforts. The Jaycees help prepare our members to become the business and community leaders of New Braunfels’ future.

What do the Jaycees do?

The New Braunfels Jaycees assist local organizations, volunteer at community events, and offer scholarships to local high school students. We are a non-profit organization and receive no financial support from any government agencies. All funds are raised through community events such as our .5K Beer Run, Casino Night, Big Give SA, food booth sales at the Comal County Fair, Wurstfest, Wassailfest, Wein and Saengerfest, and other local festivals.

Money raised through these endeavors goes toward scholarships at New Braunfels, Canyon, and Smithson Valley High School. We also provide financial assistance to the Senior Citizen Center, JROTC, NBHS Booster Club, Communities in Schools, New Braunfels Blue Santa, the NBU blanket drive and many more.

In addition to our philanthropic activities, we also get together several times a year for social activities. We hold banquets, float down the river, go out for dinner, get together for bowling parties, and celebrate the holidays in our own special way. There's always something going on!
